My heat press has a 15x15 plate. Oh i love me some printable heat transfer on canvases. Now grab your canvas. The canvas i used was 24x18 so it fit perfectly on the plate and allowed the top plate to close down.

First up though canvases have some give to them so you ll need to put something under it so that you can push down in the middle of. But with a canvas there is a little give when you push on it and you want to be able to push firmly. In my experience htv is way better on canvas than adhesive vinyl. Since it transfers with heat the vinyl can melt into the canvas and adhere better.

After several months i find that the adhesive vinyl will start to pull away from the canvas. Want to see how. It can be done. Heat transfer vinyl on painted canvas.

Since you re using heat transfer vinyl it s going to transfer with heat aka your iron or a heat press. Cut and weed the heat transfer vinyl. You re going to need your heat press and or your iron warmed up. The whole canvas was dry in under an hour and paint could still be applied to it and holy of holy s the vinyl stuck.

Seriously the easiest and fastest way to make signs and ahem why the small heat press is my favorite. I actually ended up using both and i ll explain why in a second. I think it was a beautiful addition to the wedding and it was such a sweet personal touch that didn t cost too much money. Weeded and ready for placing on your canvas.
